Pros and Cons of Social Media

Updated: Apr 19

In today's times, every individual is weighed by their social media footprint. The number of followers/likes has become directly proportional to the credibility of an individual.

It indeed is a boon for rising creators and artists pursuing various art forms, as they have the world as their audience. But it is often seen that many talented people have the least amount of followers. Does that lower the talent of the individual?

We as artists, have to keep up to the mark by being consistent with posting our content to gain followers as per the algorithm. Our creativity quotient is now dependent upon the social media algorithm. But we must remember that good work will always be recognised, sooner or later. We must strive to present good quality content, rather than huge quantity of cringe content.

It was heartwarming to see our Indian President, Hon Mrs.Droupadi Murmu addressing the IAS officers recently, validating the fact that our credibilty should not depend upon the social media numbers, rather should be weighed by the quality work we deliver. So keep driving towards working better, not gain numbers.
